Modernism in Jakarta can not properly understood without rendering the everyday spatial practice of the modern building. In this exhibition, we critically emphasize the architectural quality of modern building in Jakarta that often miss-delivered the messages, meanings and values from the designer to the user and authority. Instead, the user here positioned as the subject that actively occupy, give meaning, value, and function based on the situation (or the absence of adequate facilities), and at the same time enriched the quality of the space.
